Police laptop, cash stolen from Raleigh officer accused of paying teen for sex

Raleigh police officer Jason Brandon Hoyle was arrested today by Fayetteville police for soliciting sex from a teenager, a week after Fayetteville police investigated a larceny in which the Raleigh Police Department and Hoyle are listed as victims.

The theft of a laptop, phone and cash initiated the investigation into Hoyle’s activities, according to Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Gavin MacRoberts.

Hoyle, 34, was charged with promoting prostitution of a minor and participation of a minor. He was released on $100,000 bond.
